Installation of a Joomla Template !!!

In this description, you will learn the installation of a template for your Joomla website. Actually its a very simple process, what you have to do is just login into the administrator end of Joomla and go to the option "Extension/install-uninstall".

Then just browse the template from your computer/laptop and then click "upload File & install". Now your template is installed and its ready to use. For using the installed template go to "Extensions/Template Manager" and set the installed template as default. Now go to the front end and just refresh your website.

How do I send a mail at "localhost" in Joomla ???

Step 1) If you have read the XAMPP installation guide then you are in the position to run “Apache” and “MySql” services. Now to configure mail server at local host you need to open XAMPP control panel and you need to start mercury mail services. You just have to click the start button corresponding to the Mercury.

Step 2) After you clicked start your Mercury service will be up and running now you just need to open its configuration settings. For this all you need to do is click on admin corresponding to the Mercury service.

Step 3) Now for the configuration of Mercury/32 click on configuration drop down menu and select “Protocol modules”.

Step 4) After clicking “Protocol Modules”, a window will be appeared, make sure that “MercuryC SMTP relaying client” and “MercuryB HTTP web server” options are unchecked and then click “OK”.

Step 5) After selecting “Protocol Modules” you need to make an account for the user for this again click on configuration drop down menu and select “Manage Local Users”.

Step 6) After selecting “Manage Local users” a window will appear, click on add option in this window.

Step 7) After clicking on “Add” you need to fill information about user and then click “OK”.

Step 8) After clicking “OK” your configuration of Mercury/32 is finished now one last thing that you have to do is configure your outlook express to check whether you are receiving emails. One last setting that you have to do in Outlook Express is, set your incoming and outgoing server as "localhost"
